Elsewedy Electric T&D Partners With D'jermaya Solar For A 36 MWp Solar Power Plant In Chad

Elsewedy Electric T&D, a leading electrical and energy solutions provider, has recently inked a significant contract with D’jermaya CDEN Energy SAS, SPV: D’jermaya Solar, in Chad. The contract was signed in the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including high-ranking officials from both countries and key industry leaders.

The agreement entails the complete implementation of a 36 MWp Solar PV Power Plant, along with an 18 Km Overhead Transmission Line (33KV) and two step-up power transformers (25 MVA, 90 KV), ensuring seamless integration into the existing network. Additionally, an 8MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) will be incorporated to enhance the plant's operational efficiency. Elsewedy Electric T&D will oversee the entire project, including engineering, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning, on a turnkey basis. The contract also encompasses a five-year operation and maintenance (O&M) period.

During the signing ceremony, esteemed individuals from various organizations and governmental bodies were present, including Eng. Medhat Maher, the CEO of Elsewedy Electric T&D; Emmanuel Oloa, the CEO of Djermaya Solar; Neside Tas Anvaripour, the CEO of Themis Energy; Gilles J. Vaes, the CEO of Infarco Africa; DJERASSEM LE BEMADJEIL, the Minister of Hydrocarbons and Energy; MOUSSA BATRAKI, the Minister of Economic Foresight; TAHIR HAMID NGUILIN, the Minister of Finance; MAHMAT HANNO, the Minister of the Environment; and OSSAMA ABD EL-HADY, the Ambassador of Egypt. The presence of these distinguished individuals signifies the collaborative effort and mutual commitment of both public and private entities to drive sustainable energy development and propel the country towards a greener future.
