Catalyst Power, JCD Solar Consulting join forces to promote community solar

Integrated clean energy solutions provider for the C&I sector Catalyst Power Holdings LLC and solar project developer JCD Solar Consulting LLC have reached a strategic partnership agreement to maximize the marketing, aggregation and servicing for community solar projects.

Catalyst Power has made a minority equity investment in future community solar projects by JCD Solar Consulting and will be the exclusive offtake provider for the projects.

Unlike the traditional approach relying on a single large anchor subscriber, Catalyst Power uses a unique strategy to fill community solar subscriptions. The company recruits a diverse group of smaller companies to spread the benefits of solar on a broader basis, saving up to 10% for their energy bills meanwhile providing community solar projects a safer, more resilient foundation of support.

Community solar projects offer a more accessible way for businesses to invest in renewables and help them work towards a more sustainable future. Catalyst Power is a portfolio company of Texas-based BP Energy Partners LLC and centers on underserved middle-market commercial and industrial end-use customers.

To date, JCD Solar Consulting LLC has developed 75 MWdc of utility-scale and community solar with a development pipeline of 100 MWdc.
